Most Open Day activities take place on the Camperdown/Darlington Campus. Located near Central and Redfern train stations, and on major bus routes, there are many ways to get to the University.

On Open Day free shuttle buses will run between the following locations:

Railway Square at Central

Buses depart every 10 minutes between 8.30am and 4.30pm. Catch a free shuttle bus at Railway Square (intersection of George Street and Lee Street, opposite Central Railway Station) to and from the Camperdown Campus.

Other campuses

Please note: the Cumberland Campus will not be open on the day. Representatives from the Faculty of Health Sciences will be on the Camperdown Campus. You can speak to them at the New Law School Foyer.

Sydney Nursing School - Mallett Street Campus

Buses will run between 9am and 4pm to and from the Camperdown Campus (the campus bus stop located at the corner of Manning and Fisher Roads).

Sydney Conservatorium of Music - City Campus (Macquarie Street)

Buses will depart on the hour – between 9am and 2pm – to and from the Camperdown Campus (corner of Manning and Fisher roads).

Train

Catch a train to Redfern station, then walk for about ten minutes to get to the Darlington Campus (the Camperdown Campus is a further five minutes). Or you can catch a train to Central station and either walk or get our free Open Day shuttle bus at Railway Square.

Public buses

From the city

For stops on Parramatta Road (closest to the Quadrangle) catch routes 412, 413, 435, 437, 438, 440, 461, 480 and M10 from George Street or Railway Square.

For stops on City Road (close to the Darlington Campus) catch routes 422, 423, 426, 428 from Castlereagh Street or Railway Square.

Cross routes

Route 370 runs between Coogee and Leichhardt.

Route 352 runs between Bondi Junction and Marrickville.

Route M30 runs from Mosman to George Street in the city and Sydenham.

On any of the above routes, alight on City Road near Butlin Avenue, beside the entrance to the University of Sydney.

If you live nearby, you can walk or cycle in.

Did you know that the University has more than 800 bike racks across campus to make it easier for students and staff to cycle to uni? There are lots of cycle paths around the University and our new bike racks mean you can lock your bike up securely while you are here.

We recommend that you take advantage of public transport and/or the free shuttle buses to get to and from campus. All on-campus parking is free on Open Day but spaces will be very limited.

Please comply with all relevant parking signs to avoid parking fines.

The Shepherd Street carpark is located behind the Seymour Centre off Cleveland Street. It will have free parking all day.
