Classics (Latin and Ancient Greek) and Ancient History

Where: Quadrangle, General Lecture Theatre

MAP / DIRECTIONS

The ancient world has never been more relevant to the modern world than it is today. The study of ancient Greek and Roman history, culture, literature and language enables students to understand societies radically different from our own but which also formed the basis of Western culture. Classics is the original interdisciplinary subject, as students develop skills in analysing and presenting a wide range of evidence. This talk will showcase some of the exciting areas covered in our three majors, and highlight the ways in which the skills you will develop can be applied beyond the university.

Please note: If you have special needs to access this venue, please speak to our staff or student ambassador for further assistance.
