The Department of Gender and Cultural Studies develops students' capacity to think critically about the practices of everyday life through a number of different theoretical, textual and experimental methodologies.
Gender Studies units will allow you to develop a critical perspective on the way sex, gender and sexuality are experienced and represented in contemporary culture and the traditions that have framed the body in western and non-Western thought.
Cultural Studies units will allow you to critically examine everyday social practices in relation to systems of power.
Diversity Studies will offer you a critical perspective on the rise of diversity as a social, ethical and institutional value within a cultural sphere that is based on ideas of difference and continuity.
